Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups of a good biscuit mix
1 egg
1/2 cup of oil
1 1/3 cups of club soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients well: pour onto a hot griddle for pancakes or into your waffle iron for delicious waffles.
Since the batter is of an effervescent nature, you can't store it, so cook all of it at once and then freeze the pancakes or waffles. Some morning when you oversleep, pop them in the toaster for a hurry-up yet special breakfast.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
My mother was given this recipe by Heloise herself when she met the famous columnist in San Antonio. Heloise spoke often to the wives of Air Force servicemen as her husband also made the Air Force his career.

If you use SpriteŠ or 7-UpŠ in the recipe, you get a slight lemon flavor--wonderful!
