2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
¼ cup cocoa
1 cup of water
½ cup butter
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten

Frosting:
¼ cup cocoa
½ cup butter
⅓ cup & ⅔ tbsp milk
4½ cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts

Brownies:
Combine sugar and flour, set aside. Combine cocoa, water and butter and bring to a boil. Then add this to the flour and sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients and pour in a greased 10 x 15 pan (jelly roll pan). Bake for 20 minutes at 400°F. Cool before frosting.

Frosting:
Boil the cocoa, butter and milk. Add the sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add nuts and spread on brownies. This frosting makes enough for two batches of brownies. Freezes well.
