4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
4 eggs
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups butter
4 c. semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 c. white sugar
2 3.4 oz pkg instant vanilla pudding mix

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Stir together the flour and baking soda and set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop cookie by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 6 dozen.
