5 medium turnips
1/2 pint heavy cream thinned with 1/3 milk
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
salt and pepper to tase
3/4 grated Swiss cheese
3 T grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Peel turnips and slice thinly in food processor...discard any woody parts. Boil slices in water to cover until just cooked...about 3 min.
Drain and immerse in cold water to stop cooking process. Drain well. Arrange in a thin layer in a greased casserole dish. Blend cream, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper in blender. Pour over turnips...top
with cheeses and bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes.or until nicely browned.

This is so good my son, Ricky, ate it for years at holidays and thought it was especially tasty scalloped potatoes...liked by even non-turnip eaters!
