★ 6 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup sugar
★ 6 tbsp. baking powder 1 cup margarine or butter
★ 4 large eggs ½ cup orange juice

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add eggs, flour, and baking powder. Blend well as with making a pie crust.
3. Add orange juice and mix thoroughly.
4. Section dough into 6 parts. Roll into 12x7 sections.
Filling:
Grape, apricot, or strawberry jam. (use one or a variety of your favorites.) Chopped walnuts, chocolate chips, and raisins (optional). The amount depend on preference, but not too much to strain the dough.
5. Gently spread the jam over the rectangle about ½ inch from each side of the rectangle.
6. Sprinkle chopped walnuts, chocolate chips, and raisins (optional) over the jam.
Roll like a jelly roll and close ends with your thumb. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
7. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Remove from pan and place on a bread board to cool. Then cut crosswise in about ¾ inch slices.
