Ingredients:  
potatoes ( amount depends on how many you are feeding) 5 lbs will fill a large casserole dish.
cream of mushroom soup
c. of sour cream
butter
salt and pepper to taste
real bacon bits (optional)
shredded cheese
green onions chopped finely (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and boil potatoes, Just under cooked, and pour into large casserole dish. Salt and Pepper and add 1 stick of butter scattered on top of the potatoes. Mix the sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, bacon bits and green onions and spread over potatoes. Put in oven at 350º for 20 minutes. Take out of oven and using a fork slightly shifting the potatoes so the soup mixture will fall in amongst the potatoes and spread shredded cheddar cheese on top and put back in oven until cheese is melted. Remove and serve.
