1 cup butter
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs well blended
2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, oil and sugars together. Add eggs and vanilla and blend.

Blend in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Roll cookies into a small ball, roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet or on parchment paper

Bake 325º for 15 minutes. Bottom of cookie should be lightly brown.

This recipe came from Granny Ehlers who was a cook with the Kenosha County school system. When baking desserts, I always sift all my flour and sugar. Taking a few minutes to do this makes a difference.
