8 oz. pkg. macaroni noodles
1 tsp. vegetable oil
3/4 plus 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup Cheez Whiz ©
3/4 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350º.
In saucepan on medium heat, cook macaroni according to package.. instructions, adding the oil to the water. Do not overcook. (Optional -- I leave the macaroni in the water while preparing other ingredients.) Drain the macaroni. In a large bowl combine drained macaroni, 3/4 cup of the cheddar cheese, Cheez Whiz ©, milk, eggs, mayonnaise, prepared mustard, and salt and pepper to taste.
Bake in an ungreased 9 x 12-inch casserole dish for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining 1/4 cup cheese. (Optional -- I put egg wash on top of casserole for a golden brown top.) Return the casserole to the oven to melt the cheese and brown.
Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
