3/4 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º Cream margarine with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour and salt, adding only enough flour to combine ingredients. (I always double the recipe and add 6 cups flour to the other doubled ingredients.) Chill!!!! Roll onto floured surface and cut out. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.

It was suggested to me in the first year of marriage that I get this recipe from my mother-in-law (from my husband!) It's been the family favorite ever since. Can't begin to say how many hundreds of cookies, in all seasons, we've enjoyed. These cookies keep their shape once baked!!!
