2 c shortening
2 c margarine
3 c sugar
3 c brown sugar
8 eggs
4 tsp. soda
4 tsp. salt
9 - 10 c flour
1 1/2 - 2 packages chocolate chip cookies
1 c chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Mix together dry ingredients, add in rest of ingredients.

Bake by rolling into balls on greased cookie pans at 375º for 8 - 10 minutes

This is a huge recipe - the dough can be rolled into tubes and frozen for a few months. As you run out of steam to cook it all. The cookies freeze well also.
