1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic (4 cloves)
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 15 oz can light red kidney beans, undrained
1 15 oz can dark red kidney beans, undrained
1 14 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
2 – 3 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

In a large saucepan, or dutch oven cook and stir ground beef, green pepper, onion, and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender; drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, kidney beans, tomatoes, chili powder, salt, basil, and black pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes. If desired, top each serving with shredded cheese (Kraft naturals are gluten free) and sour cream (Darigold brand is gluten free).
