1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
5 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F.

In a large bowl, cream together powdered sugar, granulated sugar, butter, oil and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and beat until evenly combined.

In another bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until well mixed.

Form the cookie dough into walnut size balls and place 2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheet. Flatten the balls using the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges turn golden brown. Allow to cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheets before transferring the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

Frost if desired.
