1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 c. applesauce
4 c. flour
1 t. soda
1/4 t. cinn.
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. cloves
1/2 t. salt
1 c. pecans or walnuts
1 t. vanilla
2 pkg gum drops ( I use fruit slices) non spice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together dry ingredients and cut gum drops with scissors and add nuts and mix into flour mixture. Mix together butter and sugar, add vanilla and eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce. Dissolve soda in a little hot water and add to mixture. Mix well. Bake in 3 well greased loaf pans, lined with waxed paper, greased and floured. Bake at 300 degrees for about 1 1/2 hour. Depending on what size loaf pans you use.
