2 sticks butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt (optional)
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together butter, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt, then add to creamed mixture. Roll into balls. Roll each ball into sugar and cinnamon that has been mixed together.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake at 400 degrees, 8-10 minutes. Yields 5 dozen cookies.
