1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup nuts
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Mix sugars and shortening. Add eggs and nuts. Add dry ingredients. Shape into a roll and chill. Slice and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
