1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 cup butter
1 tbsp. corn syrup
3 tbsp. water
1 cup sliced almonds, toasted
6 oz. chocolate chips
extra sliced toasted almonds

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, butter, corn syrup and water in heavy pan (I use a Teflon wok). Boil to hard-crack stage (310º) using a candy thermometer. Stir frequently.

2. Remove from heat. Add almonds. Stir and pour onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and spread when they begin to melt. Sprinkle with extra almonds. Chill in fridge until very cold. Break into pieces.

Recipe can be doubled (using 1 pound of butter) and spread onto 2 cookie sheets.
