2 cups sifted flour
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 1/2 teasp. Baking Powder
3/4 teasp. salt
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together with cheese. Cut in shortening. Add milk, stir with fork till soft dough is formed. Turn out and kneed about 20 times. Then roll out lightly to 1/2 inch thick and use a 2" round cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and put in preheated oven at 450 degrees. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
