Ingredients:  
2 lbs stew meat
4 tbsp vegetable oil, enough to cover bottom of pot
2 cups beef broth
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
1 large onion, sliced
2 tbsp each salt & pepper
1 tbsp paprika
1/2 tbsp allspice
3 large carrots, cut up
4 potatoes, quartered
3 ribs celery
2 tbsp cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in oil.
Add beef broth & next 8 ingredients.
Cover & simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Remove bay leaves & garlic cloves.
Add carrots, potatoes & celery; stir.
Cover & cook for 30 - 40 minutes longer.
To thicken, remove 2 cups of juice, add cornstarch & stir until smooth.
Return to pot and cook a little longer until thickened.
