1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 lbs beef round steak, 1 inch thick
3 tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1lb can tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper and pound into meat.
In large skillet, brown meat on both sides in hot shortening.
Top meat with onions and tomatoes.
Cook at 350º for about 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
Add green peppers and cook 15 mins. more.
