2 cups sugar
3 heaping Tbsp flour
3 level Tbsp cocoa
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup water
5 egg yolks
1 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cooked pie crusts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, flour, cocoa. Stir together. Then add the can of evaporated milk, 1 cup water, and egg yolks. Cook until thick. Then remove from heat and add one stick butter. Cook just a little more. Then add the vanilla. Remove from heat. Make the meringue using the egg whites, 1/4 tsp cream of tartar, and 1/2 cup sugar. Bake at 325º until meringue is lightly browned.

This makes two pies. For just one pie, use 3 eggs and half the other ingredients. You still need the 1/4 tsp cream of tartar and 1/2 cup sugar for the meringue.
