1/4 cup of salt to a half gallon or 1/2 cup of salt to make a gallon.

Mix salt with warm water. Put in jar, wash cucumbers, put them in jar. Fill with water. Shake good. Leave for 4 to 5 days. Taste. If needed add more salt or if you want them more sourer let them set another day. Then pour water off and put in bowl to refrigerate. Eat as you like.
