Personal Notes:
There are many versions of this recipe. I went back to the one hand written by Grandma Doris. Most of the controversy is over the definition of a heaping tablespoon. To begin with, she did not use a tablespoon measure. She used a small serving spoon and heaped as much flour and cocoa that the spoon could manage. I believe that a heaping tablespoon is more like a 1/4 c.
In addition, the only way to make the pie is with a graham cracker crust.
