4 cups of sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2c of shortening
2c of granulated sugar
2c of brown sugar firmly packed
4 eggs
3 cups quick cooking, rolled oats
2 tsp of vanilla extract
12 oz. semisweest chocolate chip cookies

Directions:

Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, and set aside
Combin the shortening and sugars , and cream well. Beat the eggs until thoroughly blended. Stir in dry ingredients and mix well. Add oats,vanilla and chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonsfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350º for about 12 minutes or unitl golden brown.
