1 cup butter softened

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Mix together dry ingredients and add, combining well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350-degree oven for 8 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
