1 bunch fresh kale
1 1/2 # potatoes, peeled
1/2 # bacon
1 # smoked sausage
1 onion, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Wash kale, cut out center stalk and tear into small pieces. Put kale and onions in large pot. Cook until kale is tender. Boil potatoes until done - cook sausage with potatoes to heat it thru. Fry bacon crisp and break up. Save bacon grease. Mash together kale, onions,potatoes, bacon and bacon grease. Put on large platter with cut up sausage around the boerenkool.
