"Plain fresh bread, its crust shatteringly crisp. Sweet cold butter. There is magic in the way they come together in your mouth to make a single perfect bite."--Ruth Reichl

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 box Yellow Cake Mix
1 egg
1 stick margarine softened
1 cup chopped nuts

Topping:
1 box powdered sugar (4 cups)
2 eggs
1 – 8 oz cream cheese softened

Directions:
Directions:
Crust:
Mix cake mix, egg, margarine and nuts by hand and press into well greased 9 x 13 pan…..NOTE : I use two - 8 x10 pans AND one – 8 x 8 pan to do this… using only one - 9 X 13 makes these extremely thick. Using the other 3 pans makes them thinner and they go much further if making for a large group.

Topping
Mix all topping ingredients together. Spread on top of crust.
Bake for 35–40 minutes. IF you use the 3 pans like I do, they need to bake for 18–20 minutes
