1 c. butter softened
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Cream butter. Add powdered sugar, then egg yolks. Add flour and salt. Add vanilla last with food coloring if desired. Bake at 375º F for 5 – 7 minutes.

I put the cookie batter in the fridge and clean up my mess. Once the mess is cleaned I take it out of the fridge and make the cookies. The dough is easier to work with when it has been cooled.
