2-1/4 cups Flour
One teaspoon baking soda
One teaspoon salt

One cup (two sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cups brown sugar
One teaspoon vanilla

Two large eggs

1-3/4 cups (11.5 oz) chocolate chips
(we like milk chocolate)
One cup nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs one at a time.
Gradually add flour mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet, and bake for about nine minutes. Let set on baking sheet for two minutes and then move to cooling rack and cool completely.
