1 cup powered sugar 1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup soft butter 1 cup of vegetable oil
2 eggs 1 t vanilla
1 t salt 1 soda
1 t cream of tartar 4 1/4 cup plain flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars and oil and butter; add eggs, vanilla,
salt, soda, tartar. Add flour 1 cup at a time. (I chill
before making balls) Roll into small balls. Place on
parchment paper in cookie sheet. Press with bottom of glass that is dipped in melted oleo then in sugar. (I jus sprinkle the top of each ball with sugar, then press with back of spoon.

Bake at 355 degrees for 12-14 minutes until golden brown around the edges.

Add 1 t lemon flavoring. Add lemon zest.

Add "icing"... homemade chocolate or orange.

Half recipe will make at least 6 dozen 1/2 inch cookies.
