1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 whole orange, ground
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Icing:
1 large orange ground
1 lb. box confection sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Cream shortening, add sugar, cream again. Add eggs, orange and beat well. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add alternately with milk and beat well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7-10 minutes. To make icing, mix orange and confection sugar. Ice cookies while they are hot.
