1 package yeast,
2-3 tablespoons warm water,
5 cups all purpose flour,
3 to 5 tablespoons sugar,
1 tablespoon baking powder,
1 teaspoon salt,
1 teaspooon baking soda,
3/4 cup sortning,
2 cups buttermilk.

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Stir together dry ingredients. Cut in shortning. Add dissolved yeast and buttermilk. Mix well. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out and cut. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 400 for about 15 minutes. These are best if let to rise.
