I pound of spaghetti
6-8 cloves garlic, smashed or chopped
¼ cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Boil spaghetti until done to your taste, just follow the directions on the box and try one before you take it off the heat. Drain the pasta, RESERVE ONE CUP OF THE COOKING LIQUID FOR USE LATER.
Heat a pan over low to medium heat then add the olive oil. Add the garlic and sauté until golden brown, watch carefully so it doesn’t get too dark. This only takes a minute or two.
Add the spaghetti to the garlic and olive oil. If it is too dry, add a little of the pasta cooking liquid.
Serve with Parmesan cheese on the table.
