Ingredients:  
Boil meat (about a pound of stew meat and a soup bone) about two hours in 3-4 quarts of water. Strain out meat and add vegetables.

1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped cabbage
1 cup chopped celery
1 or 2 small onions
20 oz. can of tomatoes
2 T. of rice or pearl barley

Cook until veggies are tender.
Add egg noodles - to taste, a cup or more.
