Cookies:
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
4 c. flour
1 t. soda
1 jar Maraschino cherries, drained and chopped (reserve the juice for frosting)
Frosting:
Juice from cherries
1 t. butter
Enough powdered sugar to make spreading consistency

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients and drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes or until golden brown and firm in the middle.
Frosting: Add cherry juice to powdered sugar and butter. Frost cookies while they are hot.
