Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 x 12 oz can tomato paste
3&1/2 - 4 cans water
1t Italian seasoning
1t chili powder
1t salt
1t pepper
1t oregano
1t Lawry's seasoned salt
1/2 C sugar
1/2t garlic salt
1/2t onion powder
1/4t red pepper
May substitute sautéed onion and garlic for the onion and garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except sugar and bring to almost boil, then add sugar and turn down heat to simmer for 2-3 hours.
I usually use the sautéed onion and garlic instead of the powders. If I want to make a meat sauce I add 1 lb ground beef after onions are sautéed, add 1t oregano and 1t Italian seasonings, then pour off fat and add rest of ingredients.

I also usually use a little more chili powder and red pepper (cayenne and/or crushed red pepper), depending on guests being served
