1 c raisins
2 c water
1 egg
1 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
1 t baking soda
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t ground clove
1/2 t cinnamon
1 3/4 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins and water for 20 minutes and cool. Do not drain keep liquid.
cream egg, sugar, and shortening.
add raisins, baking soda, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and flour.
bake at 350 for 35 minutes

Frost or serve warm with butter
