2 c milk
2/3 c sugar
1/2 c flour
1/4 t salt
2 egg yolks
1 t vanilla
1 c coconut

meringue:
2 egg whites
1/8 t cream of tater
2 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Start warming the 2 c milk, add sugar , flour, salt once hot add egg yolks cook until it becomes thick, then add vanilla and coconut pour mixture into a cooked pie shell.

meringue:
beat together egg whites and tater while beating them slowly add sugar keep beating until it becomes stiff and you can make peaks. top the coconut mixture with the meringue and top with a few coconut flakes.
bake in a 400 oven until meringue is toasted
