1 large green tomato, cut into 1/4 inch slices
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
Pinch salt & pepper
3 c. corn oil

Directions:
Directions:
Marinate green tomatoes in buttermilk for 1 hour.
In a separate bowl, mix cornmeal, flour and salt together. Remove tomatoes from buttermilk and dredge in cornmeal mix. Heat oil to 350º in a cast iron skillet. Fry tomatoes until golden brown on both sides.
Remove tomatoes and place on paper towel.
