Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 oz. cooked ham, minced
4 tsp. mayonnaise
3/4 tsp. Dijon mustard
1/4 c. cream cheese, softened
4 tsp. chopped chives
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 slices white bread
4 slices whole wheat bread

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, mix ham, mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until combined well. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions in the bowl. Set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, mix cream cheese, salt, pepper and chives. Set aside. Thinly butter two slices of the white bread on "both sides". Thinly butter two slices of the wheat bread on "both sides". Thinly butter two slices of the white bread on "one side only". Thinly butter two slices of the wheat bread on "one side only". COMPOSITION OF SANDWICH STACKS: You will have two sandwich stacks of alternating wheat and white bread slices. Each sandwich stack will have 4 slices/layers of bread beginning with wheat slice "one side only" buttered side facing up(1st layer), white slice "both sides" buttered (2nd layer), wheat slice "both sides" buttered (3rd layer), and topped with white slice "one side only" buttered side facing down (4th and last layer). FIRST LAYER: Take one slice of the "one side only" wheat bread. Unbuttered side facing down, buttered side up (on which you will spread ham mixture). On the facing up, buttered side, of this wheat bread slice, spread one quarter of the ham mixture. SECOND LAYER: Cover the spread ham with one slice of the "both sides" white bread. On the facing up side of this "both sides" buttered slice of white bread, spread softened cream cheese mixture. THIRD LAYER:
Cover the spread cream cheese with one slice of the "both sides" wheat bread. On the facing up side of this "both sides" buttered slice of wheat bread, spread one quarter of the ham mixture. FOURTH LAYER: Cover the spread ham with one slice of "one side only" white bread. The buttered side facing down, covering the ham mixture. You now have one completed "Striped Sandwich Stack". Carefully slice/remove the crusts from the four sides of the stack. Cut the stack in half. Then cut each "half" into equal thirds. Each "Striped Sandwich Stack" will give you six finger sandwiches.
Duplicate this process with the remaining slices of bread, ham mixture and cream cheese. You will then have 12 finger sandwiches. Recipe can be doubled.
