2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. breakfast sausage (Jimmy Deans original)
1 egg
1 sleeve of saltine crackers, crushed
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1/3 c. worcestershire sauce
3/4 c. ketchup, divided
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp. salt

Get everything out before you start.
Get shallow baking pan approx 9 x 12. Put meat and egg in a large bowl. Crush crackers fine. (I put in plastic bag and use rolling pin). When sausage is evenly distributed through, sprinkle saltines in and squeeze and knead until well mixed. Add onions and peppers, salt and pepper.
Add half of the ketchup and worcestershire sauce. Mix again until it sticks together firmly. Put into loaf and slap into shape.
Place into a preheated 325º oven for 45 minutes. Pull it out and slather with remaining ketshup. Put back in oven for another 45 minutes.
Let cool just a bit before slicing.
