1 c soft shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream: shortening, sugar & eggs, set aside.

Sift together: flour, cream of tarter, soda, & salt. Combine with other ingredients.

Roll in balls about the size of a walnut, roll it 2 tbs sugar.

Bake on a ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degree oven for 8 - 10 min.
