Ingredients:  
Cake portion:
1 c brown sugar
1/4 lb butter
10 lg soda crackers (crushed)
1 c flour
1/2 tsp soda
1 c cocoanut

Filling portion:
2 tbs corn starch
1 c sugar
1 c warm water
2 beaten eggs
juice of 2 lemons
1 tbs butter
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Cake:
Mix brown sugar & butter.
Add crackers, flour, soda, & cocoanut.

Filling:
Mix corn starch & sugar.
Add water.
Add gradually, eggs, lemon juice, & butter.
In sauce pan: cook until thick, remove from heat & let cool.
Add vanilla

Put 3/4 of cake mixture in 9 x 9 prepared pan, cover with filling, cover with remaining cake mixture.

Bake in moderate oven until slightly brown.
