Wash & cut into inch long chunks or quarter enough medium sized cucumbers to fill 4 quart jars.

To each jar add 3 or 4 slices of onion, 2 celery stalks and 2 bunches of dill.

4 c sugar, 1/2 c salt ,7 quarts of vinegar, &1 pint of water. Pour over pickles while hot and seal at once.
