Ingredients:
16 medium size mushrooms (small white button champignons; remove the stem and use only the caps)
2 eggs
1 c. plain flour
1 - 2 c. breadcrumbs
pinch of salt
1 jar tartar sauce (Kraft if available)
2 - 3 Tbsp. of olive oil for cooking the mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Place the flour, beaten eggs and breadcrumbs into three different dishes. For the eggs it is best to use a higher jug. Add the salt to the beaten eggs. Coat each mushroom in flour, shaking off any excess, holding the mushroom with a long thin fork, tossing it into the egg mixture, and then coat it in the breadcrumbs. Again shaking off any excess.
Add the oil to a heavy fry pan, and fry all crumbed mushrooms until golden brown. Turn them over and fry the other side and serve immediately with a Tbsp. of tartar sauce in a small bowl on the side.
