2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon plain flour
1 tablespoon cornmeal
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup milk
4 tablespoons grated lemon rind
1/4 cup lemon juice
4 eggs, unbeaten

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar, flour, and cornmeal in bowl and toss lightly with a fork. Add eggs, one at a time, then butter, milk, lemon rind, and juice. Beat until smooth and thoroughly blended. Pour into pastry shell and bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Cut while warm. Makes one thick 9-inch pie.
