1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 cup of brown sugar
3/4 tsp soda
3 cups flour
1 cup nuts if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, mix well. Add soda to flour, then add to other ingredients , mix well, add vanilla and nuts if desired. Chill for about 1 hr. Roll into balls and bake at 400º for about 12 min. This may be kept in refrigerator for several days.
