cookies: 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup pumpkin, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Frosting: 8 ounce pkg cream cheese, 1/2 box of confectioner sugar, 1 stick butter, 1 tsp vanilla. chopped nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugar. Add pumpkin and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients. Plop onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 for about 9-10 minutes. When cookies are cooled, mix frosting ingredients until well blended and frost cookies. Top with chopped nuts if desired.
