3 lbs. shrimp
2 cans beer (12 oz.)
1 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon dry mustard
2 bay leaves
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon salt (I usually use less)
2 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon chopped chives
For the sauce:
1 stick oleo
4 tablespoons lime or lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 tablespoons chopped chives
2 teaspoons salt (or less)

Directions:
Directions:
Clean shrimp. In large sauce pan, combine beer, thyme, dry mustard, bay leaves, garlic, salt, parsley, pepper and chives. Bring to a boil. Add shrimp and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with sauce.
Sauce:
Melt 1 stick oleo. Add 4 tablespoons of lime or lemon juice, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, 2 tablespoons chopped chives and 1-2 teaspoons salt.
Serves 4.

The first time Doyle's father made this for us we talked about how delicious it was for days! He served this shrimp with boiled new potatoes (and butter) and a Caesar salad. We've duplicated this exact menu over the years. It's a winner!
