Crust:
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 sticks softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Topping:
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 large tub of Cool Whip ( thawed)
1 large pkg. instant chocolate pudding
chopped pecans

Directions:

Crust:
Mix flour, butter, vanilla & pecans together and pat into bottom of 9x13 pan. Bake in 400º oven until golden in color. Let cool.
Topping:
Cream cream cheese, vanilla, adding sugar slowly, mixing until all sugar is dissolved. Add 1/2 tub of Cool Whip and beat until fluffy. Spread on top of cooled crust.
Mix instant pudding according to pie filling recipe on box. Pour over cream cheese mixture. Top with other 1/2 of Cool Whip and sprinkle chopped pecans on top. Place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
