One pound lean ground beef
1 tbsp. fresh chopped mint
1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
1 chopped onion
2 cloves chopped garlic
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 sliced onions
2 potatoes
3 peeled sliced tomatoes (or a can of sliced tomatoes)
1 can tomato sauce

Directions:

Mix ground beef, mint, parsley, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, allspice, and egg and shape into patties.
Brown patties in a small amount of oil and set aside.

Slice the two onions and place in the bottom of a baking pan. Layer sliced potatoes over onion. Layer beef patties on top of the potatoes. Then cover the beef patties with the sliced tomatoes.

Cover the layers with the tomato sauce and enough water to cover the meat.

Bake at 350º for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until meat is done.
